Used storage lockers are the most inexpensive and can often be found on Ebay & Craigslist. When schools or businesses replace old lockers they often just want to get rid of them fast so you can get quite a good deal, sometimes under $50.

New metal lockers can start in the $150 range, depending on the size and quantity. Shipping can add to that cost. Plastic lockers and cabinets are usually a bit less expensive, unless they are a heavy duty plastic. Wood storage lockers will be the priciest, but will also look more like furniture than lockers.

No matter what the cost, home organization is a key element to reducing stress levels and increasing your happiness. If you can’t afford the exact style or design that you want right now, use plastic storage boxes to contain all of the kids’ stuff.
